So I am so screwed for finals. Seriously. I haven’t even started studying, and two of my hardest- math and history- are tomorrow morning. I am going to FAIL. (Don’t ask me why I’m blogging right now instead of studying. I don’t have a decent answer and having to recognize that will only depress me.) But you know what? I don’t actually care. Because we leave for India in exactly 14 DAYS!!! YES!!!!!! And because I actually know a few of the people in my group now and, to my surprise, I really like some of them.
And I also don’t care that I am screwed for the finals because today was the last day of classes. So no more struggling to stay awake through history ever again. And today was a complete joke. I had double block ceramics, my favorite class, and then I had chem, where we did NOTHING. Well, I did Sudoku. I don’t think anyone else did anything. Then I had French and we watched an awesome French movie from the 80s. Les Bronzes Font du Ski or something like that. It was great. All the guys in their way tight jeans, and the girls in earmuffs bigger than their heads. It was funny. And then I had a study, which I spent in ceramics doing nothing. And then I had English. Where we found out that on the English final, he is required to include a part about synthesis of Huck Finn and Catcher in the Rye, but that he really doesn’t want to grade it. So there’s going to be two parts: an essay on a short story, and the synthesis part. But if you ‘don’t have time for the synthesis’, that’s fine, he just won’t count that part. i.e. our final is going to be a joke. Then we played wiffleball as a class and I played 3rd base horribly and generally made a fool of myself. But it was fun anyway.
So yeah. My day has been pretty amazing up til now. I”ve accomplished nothing. I’ve been expected to accomplish nothing. It’s been great. Now I just need to tear myself away from this blog and IM and get on with the studying and preparing for the history essay that will be on the final. She gave us the prompt a week ago and I’ve barely skimmed over it… wish me luck!
